The ceremony awarding the first and second Pedro Navascués Prizes for PhD Theses was held on 10 March at the Chartered Institute of Architects of Madrid. The winners received the Fundación Juanelo Turriano medal.

The Fundación Juanelo Turriano would like to issue a reminder that the Thirteenth García-Diego International Prize, worth 8,000 euros, for research in any of the branches of the history of technology, is open until 29 May. Up to two runners-up may be chosen, who will receive 2,000 euros apiece.

The Road Heritage Technical Symposium will be held on 25 March at the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineers.

The book Elementos del patrimonio histórico de carreteras [Elements of the Historic Road Heritage] will be presented at the symposium, which is organised by the Asociación Técnica de Carreteras (ATC).

The deadline for submitting abstracts for the Ninth TICCIH Congress has been extended to 31 March. The congress will be held in Motril from 25 to 27 September 2025 on the topic Movable industrial heritage: preservation, memory, innovation and social value.

This form can be used to submit abstracts.

The first Water, Landscape & Society (WaLS) Conference will be held on 9 and 10 October, co-organised by institutions including the University of Barcelona’s Institut de Recerca de l’Aigua (IdRA-UB).

The deadline for submitting abstracts ends on 26 May.

The award ceremony for the Communication and Dissemination Prizes conferred by the Engineering Institute of Spain and Fundación para el Fomento de la Innovación Industrial F2i2 will be held on 24 March at the Technical University of Madrid’s School of Industrial Engineering.
