Pursuant to its founding objective to further and coordinate the study of technology and science history, Fundación Juanelo Turriano has partnered actively with public and private institutions in the defence of Spain’s industrial and public works heritage.

Two of the most prominent projects in this regard are:

• the construction of three water wheels for the Royal Coinage at Segovia
• the recovery of the Peral submarine
