Online catalogue. [Agustín de Betancourt 1758-1824. Founder of the School of Civil Engineering, cosmopolitan engineer]

The online catalogue is now available for Agustín de Betancourt 1758-1824. Fundador de la Escuela de Caminos y Canales. Ingeniero cosmopolita [Agustín de Betancourt 1758-1824. Founder of the School of Civil Engineering, cosmopolitan engineer], which was on display in the National Library of Spain from 6 March to 16 June 2024.

The exhibition was organised by the National Library of Spain, the Regional Government of the Canary Islands, the Puerto de la Cruz City Council, the Technical University of Madrid, the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineers, the Centre for Public Works Studies and Experimentation and the Fundación Juanelo Turriano.

The organisers are grateful to the institutions that made the exhibit and its catalogue possible with images and loans from their collections.

Abstracts are being accepted through 22 December 2024 for the Twelfth International Seminar on Industrial Heritage organised by the G+I_PAI Classroom on Management and Assistance for Architecture and Industry’s Cultural Heritage.

The seminar will be held at the Technical University of Madrid’s Schools of Architecture and Industrial Engineering on 3 and 4 April 2025 under the theme Industrial depopulation, heritage repopulation.
