The Fundación Juanelo Turriano announces the 12th edition of its García-Diego International Prize, worth 9000 euros, on the topic ‘History of Technology’.

The prize is open to any Spanish or foreign individual submitting an original, unpublished paper in Spanish on any branch of the topic.

The deadline for submissions is 18 January 2024.

Abstracts of communications for the Thirteenth International Molinology Congress may be submitted until 15 June. The congress, to be held at the Royal Artillery Factory in Seville on 24 to 26 November 2023, has the theme Sustainable transformation of the mill landscape and its territory: Review and future.

Organised by the Seville Planning Office and the Asociación para la Conservación y Estudio de los Molinos (ACEM, Association for the Conservation and Study of Mills), the congress will be held in person and on line. On-line attendance is only for conference-goers who are not presenting communications.

The CEDEX and the Instituto de Ciencias de la Construcción Eduardo Torroja (IETcc) are  organising a tribute to the distinguished international engineers Jaroslav Josef Polívka and Eduardo Torroja Miret to be held on 25 May at 10:00 AM at the CEDEX Assembly Hall.

The tribute will be open to the general public cost-free.

The Chartered Institute of Civil Engineers and the Castilla-La Mancha Chapter of the Chartered Association of Civil Engineers announce the photography competition of the First International Congress on Public Works Heritage and Civil Engineering, whose theme is Building landscape and encouraging tourism. 

The congress will be held in Cuenca, Toledo and Madrid on 26 to 29 September 2023.

The deadline for submitting entries is Thursday, 1 June 2023, at 2:00 PM.

The Spanish Society of the History of Construction (SEdHC) announces its Fifth International Spanish-American Congress on the History of Construction and Thirteenth National Congress on the History of Construction to be held in Santo Domingo, the Dominican Republic, on 19 to 23 March 2024.

The deadline for submitting abstracts is 22 May 2023.

Fundación Biblioteca de Ciencia y Artillería is accepting applications for its sixth research grant on the Artillery Academy Library’s collection of books and documents, the cultural and scientific portrayal of the artillery or the interaction between the Artillery Academy and Segovia.
