Issue 389 of the journal Revista Española de Defensa carried an article on the exhibition Fortress and the City. 29 scale models, organised by Fundación Juanelo Turriano. The showing will be open to the public at Centro Conde Duque (Hall 1) through 9 January 2022.

Ignacio García Pereda, beneficiary of the 2015-2016 edition of the Fundación Juanelo Turriano doctoral grant, was awarded summa cum laude honours for his PhD. thesis entitled Agustín Pascual y los inicios de la Dasonomía en España [Agustín Pascual and incipient forestry engineering in Spain].

Supervised by Luis Gil Sánchez and Inés González Doncel, the thesis was read at Madrid’s School of Forestry Engineering and Natural Environment on 17 November last.

The Spanish National Committee on Large Dams and the country’s Chartered Institute of Civil Engineering announce that their jointly organised seminar, Buenas prácticas y nuevas tecnologías para la conservación y mantenimiento de presas [Good practice and new technologies for dam conservation and maintenance], will be held on 18 January 2022.
