The deadline for submitting applications for the two Fundación Juanelo Turriano grants for PhD. dissertations in the history of science or the history of technology was 16 September.

The awardees will be announced within 45 days.

Issue No. 5 of Andalucía Industrial, a journal published by the Chartered Institution of Industrial Engineers of West Andalusia, carries an interview with Fundación Juanelo Turriano President Victoriano Muñoz Cava.

The videos of the International Congress on the The Middle Age City of Knowledge under the leadership of Alicia Cámara Muñoz, Álvaro Molina Martín and Margarita Ana Vázquez Manassero, held on 16 and 17 September, are now available on line.

Daniel Crespo Delgado, Fundación Juanelo Turriano researcher, participated in the congress with a paper entitled Madrid during the Enlightenment: a city pursuing knowledge?

The Eleventh National Congress on the History of Construction will be held on 9 to 12 October at Soria’s ‘Palacio de la Audiencia’ Community Centre. Congress organisers include Sociedad Española de Historia de la Construcción and Instituto Juan de Herrera, among others.
