Membership of Honour ceremony. Fernando Sánez Ridruejo
Fernando Sáenz Ridruejo, Fundación Juanelo Turriano trustee, will receive his diploma as Member of Honour of the Chartered Institute of Civil Engineers from President Juan A. Santamera on 16 January next.

The latest release in the series Juanelo Turriano Collection on the History of Engineering,Víctor Pérez Álvarez’s Técnica y fe: el reloj medieval de la catedral de Toledo [Technology and faith: the Medieval clock in Toledo Cathedral], is now available. 

This book was awarded the ninth García-Diego International Prize for its detailed account of the construction of the successive monumental clocks that adorned Toledo Cathedral from the fourteenth to the sixteenth centuries.

A Spanish language seminar on Baroque waterworks entitled ‘Fountains, palaces, engineers: from Versailles to La Granja’ will be held at 17.30 on 31 January at the Madrid Technical University’s School of Civil Engineers (Green Room, 1st floor).

It will be followed by a colloquium moderated by Daniel Crespo Delgado, Fundación Juanelo Turriano researcher.
