The Chartered Institution of Industrial Engineers held its 2018 awards ceremony on 5 July. Victoriano Muñoz Cava, Fundación Juanelo Turriano President, was awarded an Honourable Mention for Career Achievement for his contribution to industry, engineering and society.

The Fundación Juanelo Turriano Advisory Commission has admitted three new members:

Ana Belén Berrocal Menárguez, PhD. civil engineering, Technical University of Madrid

Francisco Fernández Izquierdo, researcher with the Human and Social Science Centre, a Spanish National Research Council body

Javier García-Gutiérrez Mosteiro, full professor at the School of Architecture, Technical University of Madrid.

The exhibition entitled Enlightenment waterworks opened at Segovia’s Royal Mint Museum on 6 July.

Organised by the Centre for Public Works Studies and Experimentation (CEDEX-CEHOPU), Fundación Juanelo Turriano and the city of Segovia’s Historic Heritage Department, the showing will be on display through 7 September.
