Janello Torriani, genio del Rinascimento. Exhibition

The opening ceremony for the exhibition entitled Janello Torriani, genio del Rinascimento, was held at Cremona’s Violino Museum on 9 September. It was attended by Foundation President Victoriano Muñoz Cava and Director Bernardo Revuelta Pol.

Organised by the City of Cremona with the support of Fondazioni Arvedi and Fundación Juanelo Turriano, the showing will be open to the public through 29 January 2017. 

In the photo, Victoriano Muñoz Cava, who participated in the event with Cremona Mayor Gianluca Galimberti and exhibition curator Cristiano Zanetti.

José Echegaray (1832-1916): el hombre polifacético [José Echegaray (1832-1916): man of many talents]. Book presentation
José Manuel Sánchez Ron, Fundación Juanelo Turriano trustee, will present his book entitled José Echegaray (1832-1936): el hombre polifacético. Técnica, ciencia, teatro y política en España [José Echegaray (1832-1916) man of many talents: engineering, science, theatre and politics in Spain] on 27 September at Madrid's Residencia de Estudiantes.

Words and pictures. Engineers’ treatises from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries. University outreach course

A course entitled La palabra y la imagen.Tratados de ingeniería entre los siglos XVI y XVIII [Words and pictures; engineers’ treatises from the sixteenth to the eighteenth centuries], organised by the Spanish National Distance University (UNED) and sponsored by Fundación Juanelo Turriano, will be held at UNED’s associate facility in Segovia on 11 to 13 November.

Geared to historians, engineers, art and science historians, architects, geographers and anyone interested in the subject, the course will include a visit to Segovia’s Royal Mint Museum.

It is directed by Alicia Cámara (UNED) and Bernardo Revuelta Pol (Fundación Juanelo Turriano) and carries one ECTS and two elective credits.
