News View All Pedro Navascués Palacio, President of Fundación Juanelo Turriano Board of Trustees Trustees and Advisory commission Further to a decision adopted at the 24 September Board meeting, Pedro Navascués Palacio has assumed the presidency of Fundación Juanelo Turriano’s Board of Trustees. Trustee since 2008, Mr Navascués was full professor of Art History at the Madrid Technical University’s School of Architecture until his designation as emeritus professor in 2012. Fellow of the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts, of the Institute for Madrilenian Studies and the Hispanic Society of America, he holds an honorary doctorate from the University of Coimbra and is Honorary Member of the Chartered Institution of Architects of Madrid. He has authored over 200 books and articles on the history of architecture and curated a considerable number of exhibitions, including 'Ars Mechanicae. Medieval Engineering in Spain (2008) and ‘Historic mock-ups and scale models. Engineering and construction’ (2017), both organised by Fundación Juanelo Turriano.
