Masters of concrete. Summer course (2010)

Courses

Summer course organised by the University of Granada's Centro Mediterráneo in conjunction with Fundación Juanelo Turriano and held in Almuñécar (Granada), from 12 to 16 July 2010.

The course covers the works of engineers, architects and even sculptors whose designs and constructions constituted milestones in the use of concrete from the late nineteenth through most of the twentieth century.
Each lesson focuses on a specific professional and his or her most emblematic works, analysing the relationship between author and oeuvre. Nonetheless, a number of lessons address more general issues as a backdrop for the course as a whole.
