Our summer course entitled De Re Metallica: engineering, iron and architecture is scheduled to begin in two weeks.

This course, which will be delivered (in Spanish) at the Madrid School of Architecture from 14 to 17 July 2015, is intended for engineering, architecture, history and restoration students and professionals, as well as anyone interested in the subject.

The third title in the collection Lecciones Juanelo Turriano de Historia de Ingeniería (Juanelo Turriano lessons on the history of engineering) is now available in the Fundación Juanelo Turriano Digital Library.

Ingeniería de la Ilustración [Enlightenment engineering] is a compilation of the lectures delivered during a course held at the National Distance University’s associated facility in Segovia, co-sponsored by the university and Fundación Juanelo Turriano. These lectures analyse the role of engineering as one of the tools for driving the progress pursued in Spain during the Enlightenment. They address the extensive body of work authored by eighteenth-century engineers not only on the Iberian Peninsula, but also in the monarchy’s other territories.
